Why pay that much?
$$ BUILD YOUR OWN AND SAVE $$

I built my own and have ran it for 2 years now. An average bag of wood pellets cost $4 or $5 and
SUPPLIES MY HOME WITH HEAT FOR NEARLY 2 DAYS!
I run my heater 24/7
I never run my house furnace!
All you need are 2 moving parts, a supply of scrap steel and some time.
The picture in this add is my own wood pellet stove, with the door open, so you can see the flames burning good!
When I first built it, I spent less than $10, because I used recycled motors. I bought new motors for it since and still spent less than $100
And because many want to know if you could build this in an existing stove I made a concept drawing of the stove as an insert.
Also, because people have asked about it. I made a concept drawing of the stove converted to a BBQ smoker, for smoking food.
If you want, I'll included it in at no extra cost!
"I have tried regular pellet stoves and had to many moving parts to fail. I had all of them. From no ignition to auger continuing to dump pellets to shut downs for no reason. Changed many parts but got tired of it, so I took the stoves back. "
"I feel that I can use this with minimum of problems. Looks simple to build"....Ebay buyer
Only purchase this if you know how to weld or know a welder!

Ad update for the summer months...
Because of the popularity of this sale, it will continue during the summer. However, because there are less sales in the summer, I do not always check my computer on a regular basis so please be patient if it takes a little longer. THIS AD DOES NOT GIVE INSTANT ACCESS TO THE PLANS. One buyer assumed there was, and was furious when I replied by the second business day
ALSO... Purchased plans will be sent to the email adress you have registered with Ebay. If you have a different address, please let me know. Sometimes there is trouble sending the files. If all attempts to send the files by email fail, then I will send a printed copies to your registered snail mail address at my expense. HOWEVER, THERE WILL BE NO PROMISED DELIVERY TIME FOR POSTAL DELIVERY. Any plans that need to be mailed out of the U.S. will need to pay postage.

what is the square footage of the house you are heating with the stove and does it keep it warm, comfortable or can it cook you out if you want. thanks |
|
| A: |
around 32 deg, it's perfect, in a drafty 2 bedroom trailer built in 76. I figured out the square footage before, but forgot it. The stove is a basic unit. It is a prototype. I don't have the resorces to build another, however this one can be expanded to be more efficent. I've basicly boiled down a wood pellet stove to it's basic components and built it into a compact, but usable package. At least 4x smaller than a basic store bought stove.

how well do your plans work for shelled corn and what was the trial time length. how long does a fity pound bag last. thanks clarence |
|
| A: |
You need a corn wood mix. Straight corn will not burn good unless you can figure out how to install something to constantly stir the corn as it's burning. Trial time for me was 2 years. BUT that was with it sitting around most of the time and finding a little time hear and there to tinker with it. The trial time, for you, will just to make sure everything works and you don't burn your house down. The bags of wood are 40 pounds and last nearly a day and a half. | |
Q: Can you burn logs in the stove?
A: With ANY pellet stove, no. The combustion chamber is too smaill, but the stove could be built as an insert in a wood stove and taken out to burn logs. Having never tried it myself, I can't say how well it would work.
Q: Does the stove work without power?
A: No. All wood pellet stoves need power to run. But, because the unit requires so little power, you could run it off a 12v power inverter. I'm unsure of the exact size you'd need.
